Takeoffs Equal Landings is operated by The Ackerman Group LLC. We provide contract pilot services — flying privately owned and operated business aircraft on behalf of aircraft owners and operators. This site is the private flight-operations and trip-logging system used by our pilots and staff.

Flight Dispatch Notifications (SMS & Voice)

We operate a flight dispatch notification program that sends trip status updates — departure, estimated arrival, and arrival confirmation — by text message and automated voice call. These messages are transactional and operational only. We do not send marketing or promotional messages, and we never sell or share contact information with third parties.

Who receives these messages. Only people directly connected to a specific flight: family members of those on board, passengers on the trip, and trip contacts designated by the aircraft owner or client. We do not use purchased lists, rented lists, or third-party lead sources.

How people opt in. Consent is collected directly by James Ackerman during trip planning, in person, by phone, by text, or by email. The person asks to receive flight status updates for a trip, or agrees when asked whether they would like them. Their name, mobile number, and the trip they are associated with are then added manually to the dispatch list for that trip, or as a standing contact if they want updates for every trip. There is no web form and no automated sign-up — every contact is added by hand after a direct conversation. Consent is never a condition of any purchase or service.

Example messages.

• Clara Dispatch: N65CK departed KSUS for KAPF at 9:42 AM CT. Estimated arrival 12:05 PM ET. Reply STOP to opt out.
• Clara Dispatch: N65CK arrived at KAPF at 12:02 PM ET. Reply STOP to opt out.

Message frequency. Varies by trip. Most trips generate two to four messages. Message and data rates may apply.

How to stop. Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message to be removed immediately. Reply START or YES to resubscribe. Reply HELP or INFO for assistance.
